For brands
What is kuricrew and how does booking a creator work?
kuricrew is a curated creator network and self-service platform for brands. You can browse available photographers, videographers and other content creators, or submit a brief with your project requirements, timeline, location and deliverables.
Based on your brief, you can either review suitable creator profiles, compare their experience and creative style, and choose who you want to work with or you can publish your job, and creators can submit their application to it. If you need help finding the right creator or are not sure who would be the best fit for your project, memberships that include assisted matching allow you to contact our team directly. Based on your brief, we will suggest a shortlist of suitable creators. Once you confirm a booking, the relevant project details, contract, usage rights and payment process are handled through the platform.
You stay in control of the creative selection and the collaboration, while kuricrew simplifies the operational work around the project.
Do I need an account to browse creators?
Yes. You need a kuricrew brand account to access the platform and browse creators. kuricrew offers three Brand memberships: Lite and Enterprise.
With the Lite membership, you cannot browse the complete creator database or request individual creators directly. Instead, you can publish a job, and creators on the kuricrew platform can apply to work on it.
The Enterprise membership gives you access to the complete creator database. You can browse creator profiles, compare their experience and creative style, and send direct requests to individual creators for specific projects.
Your account also gives you access to the tools you need to manage creator projects, including briefs, communication, booking information and project documentation.
How do I find the right creator for my project?
You can search and filter creators based on relevant criteria such as skills, creative style, location and availability. You can also submit a project brief so that suitable creators can be identified for you.
Matching support is available depending on your Brand membership. If your membership includes assisted matching, the kuricrew team reviews your brief and suggests a shortlist of creators who fit the project.
The aim is not to provide the largest possible list of profiles, but to help you find the right creative fit for your brand, format and production requirements.
How are creators selected and vetted?
Every creator profile is reviewed by the kuricrew team before it becomes bookable. The selection process includes a portfolio review, references or previous client experience and an assessment of the creator’s production quality and professional setup.
Depending on the project, additional criteria such as technical skills, format experience and availability may also be relevant. This helps brands find professional creators rather than anonymous or unverified profiles.
How quickly can I book a creator?
The time required depends on the project, the creator’s availability and the level of matching support required. Many requests receive an initial response within 48 hours.
For time-sensitive productions, the kuricrew team can help identify suitable and available creators more quickly where the relevant support is included in the Brand membership. The earlier you share your brief, the more options are usually available.
What happens if a creator becomes unavailable or is not the right fit?
If a creator cancels, becomes unavailable or turns out not to be the right fit before production starts, kuricrew will support you in looking for and rebooking a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
This support is available across all Brand memberships, including Lite. If no suitable replacement can be found, you will not be charged for the affected booking. You can contact customer support directly so that the situation can be addressed without leaving your team to restart the search alone.
Do I have a dedicated contact person at kuricrew?
Personal support and dedicated account contact depend on your Brand membership. The Enterprise membership includes our dedicated concierge service, giving you a kuricrew contact who can help with creator matching, questions and situations that require assistance.
kuricrew is designed as a self-service platform, so you remain in control of the search, creator selection and collaboration. The personal contact is there as a reliable point of support when you need help, not as an additional agency layer that takes over the entire project.
How are contracts, usage rights and project details handled?
The project brief defines the agreed deliverables, timeline, revision scope, usage rights and any additional requirements. A service contract is generated digitally based on the booking details and signed by the relevant parties.
Usage rights are documented in the contract, including the agreed scope and duration of the licence. After completion, the relevant project and rights information can be accessed through the platform and is available for your internal documentation.
How are final files delivered and how is delivery confirmed?
Creators provide the final files through an external delivery link, which they add to the kuricrew platform. You can access the link through the relevant project in the platform.
kuricrew documents the delivery and your approval in the platform, creating a clear record of when the final assets were submitted and accepted.
Can we access previous versions of the files?
Previous versions can remain accessible through their original files or delivery links, as long as they have not been deleted or replaced. Access to earlier versions depends on how the files are delivered and stored for the specific project.
To keep the project record clear, versions should be labelled consistently, for example as V1, V2 and final.
Does kuricrew replace our existing creators or agency?
kuricrew is designed as an additional way to access creative talent when your existing network does not cover a specific brief, location, format or availability requirement.
You can continue working with the creators and agencies you already trust. kuricrew can help you find new perspectives, additional capacity, suitable alternatives or creators who would otherwise be difficult to reach directly.
Can we start with a small pilot project?
Yes. You can use the Lite membership as a simple way to start with kuricrew and test how the platform fits into your existing content production workflow.
With Lite, you can publish a job and receive applications from creators on the kuricrew platform. While you cannot browse the complete creator database or send direct requests to individual creators, you can still test the core workflow, review creator applications and manage a real project through the platform.
If kuricrew proves to be the right fit for your team, you can move to the Advanced or Enterprise membership to access the complete creator database, direct creator requests and additional matching or support features, depending on your membership.
For creators
How do I apply to kuricrew?
To apply to kuricrew, you create a creator profile with information about yourself, your experience, a profile picture, work examples or a portfolio, and details about your niche, skills and creative style.
As part of the registration process, you have a short introductory call with the kuricrew team. This helps us get to know you, understand your work and make sure your profile is a good fit for the network.
Once your profile has been reviewed and approved, it can become visible to suitable brands and eligible for relevant project requests.
How are creators selected?
Creator selection includes a portfolio review, references or previous client experience and a review of the creator’s professional and technical setup. The purpose is to build a professional creator network with a consistent level of quality. Selection is based on the creator’s work and suitability for the network, not only on follower count or audience size.
Which creative disciplines are covered?
The kuricrew network includes photographers, videographers, editors, motion designers, drone operators, creative directors and other social-first content creators.
Can I join kuricrew if I am not based in the same country as the client?
Yes. kuricrew is designed as an international creator network. Brands can discover and book creators based on their location, availability, skills and project requirements.
Whether a project can be completed remotely or requires local production depends on the brief. Location, travel requirements and any additional production costs should be clarified before the booking is confirmed.
How does creator matching work?
Matching is based on the requirements of the brief and your creator profile. Relevant factors can include your creative style, discipline, experience, location, availability and the type of content you produce.
kuricrew is designed to connect creators with relevant opportunities rather than simply sending as many requests as possible. You can receive direct inquiries from brands, discover suitable jobs and, where available, actively apply for projects that fit your work.
Do I stay in control of my rates and projects?
Yes. You decide which projects you want to accept and which opportunities are right for you. Your profile can include your creative disciplines, availability and relevant experience.
Is kuricrew exclusive?
kuricrew is non-exclusive. You can continue working with your existing clients, agencies and personal network while also receiving relevant project opportunities through the platform.
You remain free to accept or decline any inquiry based on your creative interests, availability, rates and the project requirements. Joining kuricrew does not prevent you from working outside the platform or maintaining your existing business relationships.
What information do I see before accepting a project?
Before accepting a booking, you should be able to review the relevant project information, including the brief, deliverables, timeline, budget, revision scope, usage rights and any specific production requirements.
This gives you the opportunity to decide whether the project is a good fit before you commit. The agreed requirements are documented in the contract so that the scope is clear from the beginning.
Does it cost creators anything to join kuricrew?
There is no creator-side membership fee for joining the network. kuricrew charges brands, not creators, and you keep your agreed creator rate.
When and how do creators get paid?
After you have delivered the agreed assets and the client has approved the final delivery, kuricrew initiates your payout. Your fee is transferred within 48 hours after final client approval.
The platform also supports the related documentation and payment process, so you do not have to create and chase a separate invoice for every booking. Any agreed third-party costs or expenses must be submitted and documented according to the project requirements.
What happens if a client asks for additional work or revisions?
The agreed deliverables, revision rounds and project scope are defined before the booking is confirmed. Additional work outside that scope should not be treated as automatically included.
If a client requests extra deliverables, additional revisions or a significant change to the brief, the new scope and any additional fee should be agreed before the work is carried out.
Can I communicate directly with the client?
Yes. The project is based on a direct collaboration between you and the client. Communication and relevant project information can be handled through the kuricrew platform so that expectations remain clear and documented.
kuricrew can provide support when questions or issues arise, while you remain the creative professional responsible for producing the agreed work.
Do I have a personal contact at kuricrew?
Yes. Although kuricrew is a self-service platform, you are not left on your own. Every creator has a personal contact at kuricrew who acts as a sparring partner and is there when questions, uncertainties or challenges come up.
Whether you need help understanding a brief, clarifying the next step or talking through a situation, you have someone on our side to turn to. This keeps the platform personal and gives you support throughout your kuricrew experience.
Do I need a large following to join?
A large social media following is not the main selection criterion. Brands use kuricrew to find creators based on the quality, style and relevance of their work.
Your portfolio, creative expertise, reliability and fit for a specific project are more important than follower count alone.
General questions & payment process
Is kuricrew a creator marketplace, an agency or a self-service platform?
kuricrew is a self-service creator platform with a curated professional network. Brands can browse creators, submit briefs, review suitable matches and choose who they want to work with.
Unlike a traditional full-service agency, kuricrew does not require brands to hand over the entire creative process. Brands stay in control of the creator selection and collaboration, while the platform simplifies contracts, rights, documentation and payment.
Depending on the Brand membership, kuricrew can also provide assisted matching and dedicated personal support.
If you need more than the self-service platform, you can also add agency services from Banauten GmbH. These services can include creative concept development, production planning, or the support and execution of post-production together with the selected creators.
This gives you the flexibility to use kuricrew independently or combine the platform with tailored production support when your project requires it.
How is pricing determined?
Brands set the production budget when they publish a job or submit a project brief. The available budget is shown as part of the project information, so creators can review the scope and decide whether they want to accept or decline the opportunity.
In the current version of kuricrew, creators can accept or decline the proposed budget, but cannot negotiate it directly through the platform. A negotiation feature is planned for a future update.
What are the payment terms for brands?
Payment for a brand booking is due after you approve the final delivery. The standard payment term is 14 days net, unless different terms have been agreed for your Brand membership or project.
Enterprise customers can use procurement processes such as purchase order numbers, credit limits and individually agreed payment terms where available.
When does a creator receive payment?
Once the client has approved the final delivery, kuricrew initiates the creator payout. Creators receive their agreed fee within 48 hours after final client approval.
This process separates the client’s payment terms from the creator payout process and gives creators a clear, documented payment timeline.
Can customers use purchase order numbers?
Yes. The Enterprise membership allows brands to add a purchase order (PO) number to a booking when this is required by their internal procurement process.
The PO number is included on the corresponding invoice. Enterprise customers can also discuss additional approval workflows or payment requirements as part of their onboarding.
Do we receive one invoice per creator or per project?
Brands receive one consolidated invoice per project, regardless of how many creators are booked for that production.
This simplifies internal procurement, accounting and payment administration, especially when a project involves multiple creators or a small production team.
How are contracts, NDAs and usage rights handled?
The service contract and usage rights are generated and signed digitally as part of the booking process. The agreed brief, deliverables, timeline, revision scope and usage rights are documented before production begins.
If an NDA is required, the brand uploads its own NDA separately to the platform. The NDA is handled separately from kuricrew’s standard service contract and follows the brand’s required signing process.
The rights documentation specifies how the content may be used, including the relevant channels, territory, licence scope and duration. After completion, the relevant rights information can be accessed for internal records and future reference.
What happens if a delivery is not approved?
If the final delivery does not meet the agreed brief, the client can provide feedback within the agreed revision scope. The number of included revision rounds and the required deliverables are defined in the booking documents.
If there is a disagreement or the issue cannot be resolved within the agreed scope, the parties can contact kuricrew for support. Any further steps depend on the specific contract, project status and membership terms.
